With Shoes On His Feet
03:05
|
|
||
The little boy falls asleep with his shoes on his feet and when he wakes he will ask: Is this my home? Is this my home?
He’ll run out to the neighbors house just to see if they’ve any kids to come out ridin’ bikes and skippin’ stones fallin’ the creek bruisin’ our bones
Days get shorter and it back to school, it’s back to school, it’s back to school
Carving pumpkins and Christmas trees painting eggs and losing teeth Seasons come and seasons go, daddy got a job in Chicago
Say goodbye to this old town, thanks for the friends and fields of gold and fields of gold.
The little boy falls asleep with his shoes on his feet and when he wakes he will ask
Is this my home? Is this my home?
Is this my home, is this
my home ?

All I Need
02:35
|
|
||
I don’t need these little black boxes or keypads in my hand
All I need is the breeze in The trees and the sun right over my head
All I need is the breeze in the trees and the sun right over my head
Let me run through fields of green through a river bare feet
All I need is a patch of grass and a home for you and me
All I need is the breeze in the trees and the sun right over my head
I don't need these pages and stories and faces on the screen
All I need is some truth and peace and some quiet for you me
All I need is the breeze in the trees and the sun right over my head
All I need Mother Earth thanks you for sharing
The breeze in The trees and a patch of grass and some truth and peace and the sun right over my head
All I need is the breeze in the trees and the sun right over my head

Sleigh Bells In the Hall
04:14
|
|
||
House done up I’m Christmas lights I low awake in bed
Sleigh bells ringing out my door mama says get back in bed
I close my eyed and see the snowy hills callin' out my name
Santa Claus is coming soon he’s gonna check up on you
Chorus:
She made me feel so special
Like I was born that way
She made me feel so special
Everyday a holiday
We grow fast and years fly by soon reindeer cannot fly
I tick myself in bed each night close my eyes turn out the light
And mama’s out at some old place and I don’t understand
No sleigh bells ringing in the hall I’ll hold the memory of it all
Chorus:
She made me feel so special
Like I was born that way
She made me feel so special
Everyday a holiday
The day came in so quietly where sleigh bells filled the air
The little boy upon my knee spies reindeer here and there
We tuck ourselves in bed each night I sing ya carols of the heavenly light
Santa Claus is coming soon he’s gonna check up on you
Chorus:
Baby boy you’re so special
You were born that way
He made me feel so special
Everyday a holiday
Everyday a holiday

Imagine That
02:48
|
|
||
Kitty Smith says her house is so big, it’s in the best neighborhood
My house is small but it’s full of love I got my mama and my sister and my brother too
And when we get home from school we run outside play and hide count to ten and close our eyes
Chorus:
And oh no you can’t beat that no no you can’t beat that close your eyed and imagine that
I’m gonna grow up I’m gonna be real smart
I’m gonna be an astronaut when can I start
Mama says don’t hurry your age for goodness sakes the worlds you stage
Chorus:
So run outside play and hide count to ten and close our eyes
And oh no you can’t beat that no no you can’t beat that close your eyed and imagine that
If the grass ain’t too green in your backyard
Do a little dance and ask the clouds for rain
If you got a lot of years to be an astronaut
Dance in the light of the silvery moon
Sway to the rhythm of the crickets tune
Chorus:
And run outside play and hide count to ten and close our eyes
And oh no you can’t beat that no no you can’t beat that close your eyed and imagine that

My Children's Eyes
02:48
|
|
||
Take these pictures off my wall and put them in a box for all but save the notes that I had wrote and keep em’ for my children’s eyes
My children’s eyes my children’s eyes so I’ll be in my, my children’s eyes
Take the paintings I had done and show them to everyone but save the one that shades the sun and keep it for my, my children’s eyes
My children’s eyes my children’s eyes so I’ll be on my, my children’s eyes
Then one day when I am gone you’re gonna remember me in this song
But save the notes that I had wrote and keep em’ for my, my children’s eyes
